Befana (January)
This year's regatta that takes place every year on January 6th to celebrate Epiphany is a Particular and happy challenge with the oars.
Five "rowing" veterans (over 55) are chosen, dressed up as Epiphanies and then have to prove their strength and ability along the Canal Grande (from S.Tomΰ to Rialto)

Carnevale di Venezia is the most known manifestation of Venice and it is the most similar to the town spirit, between reality and dreams. You can enjoy free in the streets all the spontaneous popular joy of these days. Its tradition is dated in the XVIII

Vogalonga (May)
The Vogalonga competition takes part in Venice history since its birth it is one
on the main events, especially spring.
Vogalonga's birth is due to a few Venetians and has always been supported only
by the participants with hundred of boats along the Canal Grande.

Redentore (July)
On the third July sunday, to remember the foundation of the Redentore Church on the Giudecca
island, a long boat bridge is formed on the Giudecca Channel , so that people can easily and quickly reach the church . The different private and pubblic boats are beautified with coloured
lights. After the religious celebration, people can eat in the restaurants at Punta della Dogana, enjoy the music from the orchester on the "Galleggiante" boat and at midnight they can watch the fireworks on the water. |
Regata Storica (September)
Is one of the most important competitions between the most powerful oarsmen of the town; this traditional manifestation is dated in the VII century. In the first September Sunday on the Canal Grande you can attend a beautiful and original historical parade in historical
dresses. |

In September there is the international film festival also known as the "Mostra del Cinema". During this period the Lido di Venezia become the centre of
attention. A lot of cinema lovers meet outside Palazzo del Cinema during the day or in the night in the hope of getting an autograph or taking a photo of their idol. |
Celebration of the Church S. Maria della Salute
(November)
Every year on the 21st November all town boats form a boats bridge on the Canal Grande, which links the Chuch S.Maria della Salute to the town center. All the streets are full with street markets stalls, where turists can enjoy shopping. |
